ECHOES collects as little data as possible. This page explains what, why, and how to exercise your rights.

What stays on your device

The game keeps in your browser (local storage) your language, your sound settings, whether you have seen the intro, the result of the age check and the state of the install prompt. Your year of birth is never kept. This data is not sent to us and is strictly necessary for the game to work, so it does not require consent.

Audience measurement

Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits without cookies or personal identifiers. Statistics are aggregated and only used to improve the site.

Hosting

Cloudflare, our host, processes IP addresses and technical request headers to serve the site and protect it from abuse. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure. As Cloudflare is based in the United States, these transfers are covered by the safeguards provided for by the GDPR.

Advertising

Once advertising is switched on, ECHOES will offer rewarded videos, always at the player’s choice. Google, as a third-party vendor, may use cookies to serve these ads. A banner will ask for your consent before any advertising cookie, and refusing will be as easy as accepting. Learn more: how Google uses advertising cookies.

Coming with future versions

Accounts (hosted in the European Union), sign-in by email or Google and notifications will add new processing. This page will be updated before each of them.

Age

ECHOES is for ages 15 and up. The age check only keeps its result.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, delete or port your data, or object to its processing, by writing to contact@echoes-the-time-protocol.com. Data stored on your device is removed when you clear this site’s data in your browser settings. You can also lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority.
